Friendly service project of the Liudui Hakka Cultural Park

The center provides friendly service for people with physical and mental disabilities, the elderly, pregnant women and young children. According to different needs, ages or numbers, the center adjusts the visitor allowances and services according to the needs of visitors, and arranges special personnel to assist them during the tour. Friendly service aims to enable the public to fully and freely enjoy their basic rights and equal and reasonable services when visiting the park. By providing diversified services according to different needs, the hope is to establish a Liudui Hakka Cultural Park with cultural integration and shared by the whole society. People with physical and mental disabilities, the elderly, pregnant women and young children can apply for relevant services or make a telephone reservation at the tourist service center of the Liudui Hakka Cultural Park.

◆Barrier-free facilities and services

Wheelchair rental: The service center of the Liudui Hakka Cultural Park provides on-site wheelchair rental services which require the relevant certificates for use.

Barrier-free ramps: Disabled ramps are set at different heights in the park (except the lakeside landscape wooden plank road).

Barrier-free elevators: Barrier-free elevators are set in the north of the administrative center, the east of the performance hall and the east of the multimedia hall to provide the disabled or those in wheelchairs to move freely in the building.

Barrier-free toilets: Accessible toilets (including double-toilets designed for accompanying caregivers) are located in the south of the park on the first, second and third floors of the administrative center, the east and west sides of the tourist service center, the east of the first and second floors of the Performing Arts Hall, the east of the first floor of the multimedia hall, the south of the Hakka canteen, the east of the passenger car parking lot, the north of Umbrella C square, the west of the rice milling room, and the pastoral restaurant for people with physical and mental disabilities.

Parking space: The park is equipped with barrier-free special locomotive and automobile parking space service facilities.

Hand bicycle: The park cooperates with the Pingtung county government to provide hand bicycles with physical and mental disabilities. These are set up in the Tourist Service Center for disabled people's free visits to the park.

Seats for the disabled: Disabled seats are located in large indoor spaces such as the performance hall and the Liudui conference hall.

Guide dogs are welcome: Entering the museum accompanied by guide dogs on duty is allowed.

The above friendly service items could be applied for free by providing the relevant certificates. People with disability manuals shall carry their manuals with them.

 

◆Elderly-friendly facilities and services

Wheelchair rental: The service center of the Liudui Hakka Cultural Park provides on-site wheelchair rental services. This requires the relevant certificates for use.

Ramps, railings and handrails: There are single ramps (except for the lakeside landscape wooden planks), low steps, anti-slide strips and handrails for each height difference in the park to provide a friendly environment for the elderly.

Barrier-free elevators: Elevators are located in the north of the administrative center, the east of the performance hall and the east of the multimedia hall to provide access for the elderly or wheelchair users.

Barrier-free toilets: Barrier-free toilets (including double-toilets designed for accompanying caregivers) are located in the park on the south of the first, second and third floors of the administrative center, the east and west sides of the tourist service center, the east of the first and second floors of the Performing Arts Hall, the east of the first floor of the multimedia hall, the Hakka canteen, the east of the passenger car parking lot, the Umbrella C square, the west of the rice milling room, and the pastoral restaurant for elderly people.

Cold and hot water dispensers: Cold and hot water dispensers are located in the bus parking lot (bicycle station), the north and south sides of the first, second and third floors of the administrative center, the feeding room of the administrative center, the south side of the tourist service center, the west side of the performance hall, the first and second floors of the east side of the multimedia hall, the crafts industry hall and umbrella C square to provide cold and hot water for tourists.

Seating: Sitting areas are located in all spaces of the park to provide rest at any time for the elderly.

◆Friendly facilities and services for pregnant women and children

Children's carts: The service center of the Liudui Hakka Cultural Park provides rental services for children (infants) under the age of 6. This requires the relevant certificates for use.

Feeding room: The park has a feeding room next to the service desk on the first floor of the administrative center that is equipped with a sofa, washbasin, diaper changing table, cold and hot drinking water, an independent breastfeeding space, refrigerator, storybook, socket, etc. for pregnant women and young children. In addition, there is also a mother and baby room on the east side of the first floor of the multimedia hall equipped with facilities such as a washbasin, sofa, diaper changing table and independent breastfeeding space.

Parent-child toilet: On the south side of the first, second and third floors of the administrative center, there are friendly facilities such as a parent-child toilet, children's toilet and diaper changing table. In addition, the men's toilets on the first and second floors of the multimedia hall, in the performance hall and the passenger car parking lot are equipped with special urinals for little boys.

Diaper changing table:

Barrier-free toilets on the east and west sides of the tourist service center, the east side of the first and second floors of the performance hall, the east side of the first floor of the multimedia hall, the Hakka canteen, the east side of the passenger car parking lot, umbrella C square, the west side of the rice milling room and the side of the pastoral restaurant are equipped with diaper changing tables and other friendly facilities for parents and children.

Baby diapers: The park provides temporary standby products such as baby diapers and pads for emergency use at the Tourist Service Center.

Cold and hot water dispensers: Cold and hot water dispensers are located in the bus parking lot (bicycle station), the north and south sides of the first, second and third floors of the administrative center, the feeding room of the administrative center, the south side of the tourist service center, the west side of the performance hall, the first and second floors of the east side of the multimedia hall, the crafts industry hall and umbrella C square to provide cold and hot water for tourists.

Children's seats: Children's cushions are provided in the performance hall to provide children with more comfort when watching performances.

Low steps: Low steps, anti-slide strips, ramps and railings are set up throughout the park to provide a friendly environment for women, children and children's carts.

Parking space: There are special locomotive and car parking spaces for women and children in the park (a parking fee is required).

 

◆Other friendly facilities and services.

AED (automatic external cardiac shock defibrillator): The park is equipped with AED emergency equipment which is located at the service desk on the first floor of the administrative center, umbrella C fair square, bus parking lot (bicycle station), corridor between the performing arts hall and the multimedia hall, and in front of the management center.

Mobile phone charging station: The park set up a mobile phone charging station (lockable) in the tourist service center of the park to provide tourists with perfect service facilities (the park is not responsible for custody of belongings)

Emergency button: A total of 10 emergency buttons are located on the park road to provide tourists in an emergency with a way to call for help.

Medical aid: The park’s tourist service center provides simple medical wound cleaning, ice and hot compresses and bandages. It is also linked closely to the adjacent Youqing hospital (about a 5-minute drive) to provide emergency and rapid medical aid resources.

Tea: The park provides tea in front of the multimedia hall, rice milling room and cigarette building (visitors should bring their own containers).

Quick guide introduction: The tourist service center provides visitors with a 30-minute film about the origin of Liudui, a 30-minute film about the Liudui Hakka village and an 8-minute film about the Liudui cultural park for people to quickly grasp the origins of Liudui, the Hakka village and the Liudui park.

Multi-language consultation: The park’s tourist service center is equipped with a guide machine to provide consultation on exhibitions, activity information, an introductory tour of the adjacent guest houses, etc. with live video translations for assistance in six languages: English, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese and Indonesian.

Inflation service: The bicycle station located between the bus and locomotive parking lot provides free self-service inflation services for tires of tourist vehicles (buses, locomotives and bicycles) visiting the park.

Electric vehicle and locomotive charging station: Tesla and general electric locomotive charging piles are provided in the park parking lot.
