Liudui (liugˋduiˊ)
Liudui was derived from the determination to protect a homeland and build it into a promised land that can be found nowhere on the map. Although it is not an actual administrative region, it has crossed an official boundary; Liudui has become a spiritual indicator of Hakka in southern Taiwan and the unique name of a lost hometown.

From cradle to cradle (hangˇgo)
In a lifetime, you will experience birth, marriage and death. These transition rituals of these life stages mean the growth and transformation of an individual's identity in society from a baby to an adult, getting married and settling down, and finally to the end of life. Hakka traditional society attaches great importance to life rituals and customs. These rituals serve to help each family member smoothly transfer from their original status and role to another at each turning point of life.

Guardian and protector of the village (tienˇ teuˇ ti miˊ)
"Discover the Hakka peach blossom land" illustrates the appearance of ordinary people's lives such as food culture, living settlements, leisure and entertainment in the Liudui Hakka village. Like walking along the river and forgetting the way we came, we arrived at this abundant place with "flat land, neat houses, beautiful pools, mulberry and bamboo, proper and convenient roads, and poultry and livestock".
(Photo on the right) Mr. Qiu Caiyan shared and photographed the Liudui folk customs, the hard work of hundreds of craftsmen, and provided precious photos collected over more than half a century.
Farm work of all kinds (tienˇ teuˇ ti miˊ)
"Everyone has a share in opening a canal ". Water conservancy is inseparable from reclamation and the development of industry. The changes of the hydrological landscape and declining industries reveal the appearance of life in the early stages. From it we can see the efforts made by our ancestors to earn a living for their families as well as the way they worked hard to make ends meet. We also see the early Hakka people's wisdom of friendly coexistence with the ecological environment in order to make effective use of natural resources.

Liudui in the eyes of foreigners (ngoi guedˋ nglnˇ nglanˋ ge liugˋ duiˊ)
Liudui Hakka village's rich cultural customs have attracted many foreign scholars. With the theme of "Liudui in the eyes of foreigners", this area displays three foreign scholars including Myron L. Cohen, Yoshio Watanabe and professor Burton. The old photos, manuscript records and publications taken by early field research in Liudui Hakka village include folk beliefs, social culture and living customs.
