The opening ceremony for Miaoli Park’s 3rd anniversary celebrations was held at 10:30 on the morning of May 9 (Sat). Many famous singers, dancers and artists were invited to perform on stage, including Xu Ren-jie, Zeng Ya-jun, the Lanyu Dance Troupe, the Hsinchu Hongzu Orchestra, and Merlin-Award winner and magician Huang Jun-jie. On May 10 (Sun), invited to perform were Zhu Li-jing, Luan Ke-yong, Huang Zhen-qi, the Abi Orchestra, Chen Zheng-han and the Fei Yang Fei Yang Dance Troup. To encourage people to express their love to their loved ones, the organizer arranged a "hide and seek for love" show, in which people presented to their loved ones a photo or photos taken during their interaction. On May 16 (Sat), the Hands and Feet Dance Troupe, the Lolicom Orchestra, the Black and White Dance Troupe and the Linglong Orchestra led people to dance to celebrate the birthday of the Miaoli Hakka Cultural Park. On May 17 (Sun), concerts were held at the Hakka Hospitality Garden. The Taipei Philharmonic Orchestra, the Taipei Ocarina Orchestra, the Stunt Space, the Dream Dance Troup and Miaoli Jiangong Elementary School’s Chinese Orchestra were invited to perform. What a feast of music it was! People listened to the melody, while enjoying the breeze and the beautiful natural ecology at the same time.

The ribbon-cutting opening ceremony for the Hakka Hospitality Garden is scheduled at 15:00, Saturday, May 9. People are invited to join us to plant camphor and sweet-scented osmanthus trees in the surrounding areas of the ecological pond. Currently, the Hakka Hospitality Garden retains about 1,000 meters of walkways, including 515 meters of original gravel trails and 465 meters of boardwalks. Along both sides of the walkways are Tung trees, Acacia and Chinaberry trees. To make the ecological environment richer, we are planting more such trees as Liquidambar Formosana and Formosan Ash. In addition, we are also setting up more ecological ceramic vats in the Park. It is hoped that we can improve the ecological environment and increase the species and ecological diversity. On the afternoon of May 9, a series of programs, such as "Parent-Child Planting and Artwork DIY Activities", " Hakka Mochi and Grains Tasting Activities", "Music Feast under Tung Trees", "Fixed-Time and Fixed-Point Guided Eco-Park Tours and Quiz Contests" will be held at the Hakka Hospitality Garden. Everyone is invited to join us to appreciate the traditional Hakka lifestyle in the mountainous areas. Those events shall help refresh your body and soul.

In addition to stage performances, there are also parent-child artwork DIY programs in a hope to develop the creativity of your children and create beautiful memories for your family. To encourage people to donate used books to help vulnerable children, the Sunshine Social Welfare Foundation will also set up a booth here to exchange gifts with you. To echo the 3rd anniversary celebrations, the Park will give away 400 limited-edition gifts for any visitor group consisting of three or more members, while the supplies last. In addition, 30 sets of special gifts will be given to the top 30 groups who obtain the most number of “likes” from friends on the Miaoli Park Facebook fan page. It is hoped that everyone will join us in the Park’s birthday festivities.
