Opened in 2012, the Taiwan Hakka Museum of the Taiwan Hakka Culture Development Center (THCDC) under the Hakka Affairs Council is dedicated to preserving and innovating Hakka culture both domestically and internationally. Through a wide range of activities—including exhibitions, performances, educational programs, and academic exchanges—the museum reached a milestone of 10 million visitors in September 2025. The museum warmly welcomes the public to visit and experience the richness of Hakka culture.
In response to the advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) technology, the Taiwan Hakka Museum has launched an AI-integrated tour guide system at both of its branches, providing visitors with a one-stop smart tour experience. After scanning a provided QR code, the system automatically detects the user’s default language and switches the interface accordingly. It currently supports four languages: Hakka, English, Japanese, and Korean.

Additionally, the museum’s official website now features a 720-degree panoramic online tour, while its Facebook page regularly shares short videos that present physical exhibitions through digital technology. These services, which integrate Hakka history and lifestyle, aim to bridge the gap between global audiences and Hakka culture.
Ho Chin-liang (何金樑), Director-General of the THCDC, noted that the museum’s achievement of 10 million visitors on Sept. 3 marks a remarkable milestone following years of dedicated effort. He expressed gratitude for the public’s continuous support and pledged to continue offering high-quality programs. Such programs include “Liugdui ‧ Xien Fung Dui Settlement Exhibition (跈水路‧打先鋒-六堆‧先鋒堆特展)” launched on Sept. 3. The exhibition explores the history of Liugdui through three sections: “A Museum in the Village (庄頭肚个博物館),” “The Vibrant Liugdui (六堆蓋鬧),” and “Follow the Water Route to Hakka Villages (跈等水路遶客庄).” It showcases the village landscapes, century-old Hakka settlements, local beliefs, and water ecosystems.

Additionally, from Sept. 26 to 27, the Taiwan Hakka Museum organized guided tour events, leading participants through Hakka villages and mountain trails. On Oct. 19, the Museum hosted a prosperity cake (發粄) workshop, inviting the public to experience traditional Hakka cuisine. It will also celebrate the Chrysanthemum Season in November.
