【Activity】Cultural relics conservation and preservation promotion program

Objective
To increase public awareness of the importance of conservation and preservation of cultural relics and to prevent period pieces from being discarded because they look dirty or damaged, allowing proper conservation of all cultural pieces of historical value and significance and allow history to continue its journey, the Taiwan Hakka Museum has decided to hold this cultural relics conservation and preservation promotion program in two sessions, respectively taking place on September 27th (Sunday) and October 17th, 2020 (Saturday).
Course content:
◆First session (September 27th, 2020): Understanding and basic preservation from deterioration of paper relics and pieces
◆Second session (October 17th, 2020): Understanding and basic preservation from deterioration of textile relics and pieces
Location: Taiwan Hakka Museum, Taiwan Hakka Culture Development Center, Hakka Affairs Council (No.6, Tongke S.Rd., Jiouhu Village, Tongluo Township, Miaoli County, Taiwan) – 4th Special Exhibition Hall.
A maximum of 20 participants will be welcomed, first come, first served. A waiting list will also be available, and notification of admission will be sent three days before the event.
No fee will be collected for registration and participation. Please note that children are required to be accompanied by an adult.

Transportation and accommodation will not be provided.
Please observe the relevant epidemic prevention instructions issued by the National Health Command Center, NHCC, during the epidemic. The organizer reserves the right to refuse admission or disqualify those who fail to follow epidemic prevention measures.
If the program is cancelled or postponed due to a natural disaster or other force majeure event, an announcement will be made. The Taiwan Hakka Museum reserves all rights to cancel without reason.
