Committing itself to the preservation and promotion of Hakka culture, the Taiwan Hakka Culture Development Center, Hakka Affairs Council, is introducing and presenting the diversity of Taiwanese culture to domestic and international societies by gathering cultural assets and information on Hakka culture from all over the world for its physical and digital collections and archiving based on the operational objective of becoming a “global Hakka study center”. The Taiwan Hakka Culture Development Center continues to popularize their achievements in the preservation of Hakka culture through various methods with the aim of increasing participation and recognition of Hakka culture from people of all walks of life.

To date, the repository of “The Digital Archives Plan of Hakka Cultural Assets”, which includes an “information retrieval system of census results of Hakka cultural resources”, has successfully integrated all Hakka cultural resources throughout the country, including the most unique and valuable cultural items. Meanwhile, more than 230,000 records of precious cultural resources and household social survey data obtained from the census of cultural resources in Hakka villages, which has been carried out by the Hakka Affairs Council for more than 10 years, are also incorporated. Visitors and researchers can now explore and refer to materials through this single portal.
