Since 2015, the Taiwan Hakka Cultural Development Center, Hakka Affairs Council has successively published Hakka culture children's picture books (animations) related to Hakka village festivals, village life, folk activities, or historical stories. For example, Special Gifts, Grandma's Treasure, Bombing the Dragon to Greet the New Year, Drama dedicated to the Gods in Winter, The Secrets of Liudui Sports Games, Time Adventure of Liudai, Baggung (Tudigong) and Anna! How have you been? was published in March this year.
In line with the relevant epidemic prevention measures, the suspension of the center’s South and North parks and the spirit of epidemic prevention was adhered to. However, study was not suspended. Thus, a picture book, an audio-visual animation (Hakka language version) for children of Hakka culture, and the "Day School of Hakka: Understanding the The Secrets of Liudui Sports Games” audiobook jointly produced with the National Taiwan Library are open and available for free during the summer vacation to help kids study happily. All parents, children, teachers and students are welcome to enjoy and learn about Hakka culture.
Note: the children's picture books (audio-visual animation) published by our center are usually sold in the North and South Park, on the official website’s Hakka mall, national bookstore and other channels. During the epidemic prevention period, they are freely accessible to you.
