‘The Secrets of Liudui Sports Games’

      ‘Liudui’ is a synonym of Southern Taiwanese Hakka. It represents the main areas of Hakka residence in the Kaohsiung and Pingtung area, including Qiandui, Houdui, Zuodui, Youdui, Zhongdui and Hsianfengdui. The word ‘Liudui’ originates from when Hakka was threatened by the resistance of foreign troops during the Qing Dynasty, thereby forming a spontaneous military organization under the name ‘Liudui’. ‘Liudui Sports Games’ is organized by their descendants of future generations to commemorate the friendship of their ancestors, so as to bring together the spirit of unity of Hakka people. It is also widely known as the ‘Olympic Games under Dawushan’. ‘The Secrets of Liudui Sports Games’ combines fantasy magic under the structure of the original history. The courageous Jin and Lan are fighting against the invasion of the dark and evil forces. With the help of Panhua Fairy and flower elves, a team of volunteers is formed to pass on the historical spirit and cultural significance of the Liudui Sports Games. As time flies by, people start to forget the origin and significance of history and culture. The demon king of the story represents the current situation of the loss of Hakka culture. Jin and Lan symbolizes the power of preservation and inheritance of Hakka culture. The story tells us that only the spirit of returning to culture can produce meaning for rituals, otherwise they are no more than just in form.
