The details of “The Museum and International Hakka Research

In order to achieve the target of making Taiwan Hakka Cultural Hall to become the “Global Hakka Research Center”, Hakka Cultural Development Center of Hakka Affairs Council continuously expands the opportunity of international and inter-institute Hakka study communication. The center is going to sign the cooperation agreements with Japan National Ethnology Museum and College of Hakka Studies of National Chiao Tung University. Meanwhile, the three institutes are going to organize “The Museum and International Hakka Research Conference 2017”on the 16th and 17th of December, 2017. We invite you to join us for the activity.

The axis of this conference are museum and Hakka studies. The three sub-topics are Hakka studies, tribes and museum, and museum and Hakka culture. We invite the major researchers, scholars and business owners of Hakka studies, tribes and museum domain in Taiwan to join us for the exchange on the related topics. Through the multi-perspective and cross-domain experience sharing, we attempt to stimulate the new target and goal of modern Hakka museum development.

   Activity period: 09:00-19:30 of the 16th and 17th of December, 2017
2. Venue:
   International conference hall of Taiwan Hakka Culture Museum, Hakka Cultural Development Center (No.6, Tongke South Road, Tongluo Township, Miaoli County)
3. Target audience:
   he researchers, scholars, students and business owners of Hakka studies, experts on museum in Taiwan and overseas, historical practitioners and the Hakka affairs related civil servants. (Due to the limitation of quota, the application list will be announced after the organizer’s screening.)
