In order to promote the Hakka culture and establish the foundation, the Hakka Cultural Development Center has continued to develop Hakka cultural picture books with the theme of Hakka festivals or Hakka crafts. This year, it published the picture book of“Liudui Exploration is Very Interesting”, the stories of which is taken from the permanent exhibition of “Come to visit beautiful Liudui” in Liudui Hakka Cultural Park and the stories happening in Liudui Village, hoping that the children will learn more about Liudui's history, culture and Hakka lifestyle by means of reading and playing. This book comes with animated CDs in four languages: Hakka, Chinese, English, and Japanese, so that more children and foreign tourists can learn more about Liudui's history and culture spanning three hundred years.

Just as mentioned above, the content of the picture book “Liudui Exploration is Very Interesting” is taken both from the permanent exhibition of “Come to visit beautiful Liudui” in Liudui Hakka Cultural Park and from the stories happening in Liudui Village. The protagonist, “The Lion” originates from the popular mascot in Gaoshu Taraquan Park. In the picture book, “The Lion” takes a "flying boat" to travel through time and space in a dream, returning to the pioneering era of Liudui, a Hakka village, more than 300 years ago. At that time, in order to pursue a better life, people risked their life across Taiwan Strait ... After a lot of hard work, they finally overcame the difficulties, and had a stable life.

The Hakka Cultural Development Center will hold the presentation of the picture book of “Liudui Exploration is Very Interesting”at the Permanent Pavilion of Liudui Hakka Cultural Park at 10 am on June 17th (Monday), and invite parents and children to join us. There are some activities, such as the storytelling and the quiz contests. Parents and children participating will have the opportunity to obtain the newly published picture books or cute and creative gifts for free. Others who want to purchase this published picture book can get it at the Taiwan Hakka Cultural Museum, Liudui Hakka Cultural Park, or the relevant channels of the National Bookstore and Wunan Bookstore.

The presentation of“Liudui Exploration is Very Interesting” is scheduled at 10 am on June 17th (Monday).
