Since 2016, the Taiwan Hakka Culture Development Center has been dedicated to preserving artifacts from Hakka villages.

Most of the items were donated by individuals or were transferred from public institutions, such as government agencies and schools.

In 2024, the Center received a significant donation of over 400 Hakka artifacts from Shangri-La Paradise in Miaoli, generously contributed by the CMP Group at no cost.

To express sincere gratitude for its generosity in donating privately held cultural treasures, the Center held a donation appreciation ceremony on May 12th—the museum’s anniversary. During the event, a certificate of appreciation was presented to Mr. Ho Cheng-Yu, Vice President of the CMP Group, in recognition of the company’s invaluable support.

Additionally, special thanks go to the Design Department of the CMP Group for their invaluable collaboration in curating the accompanying special exhibition, We Are All Part of This Cultural Relay: A Journey from Amusement Park to Collective Memory.

This exhibition traces the remarkable transformation of these artifacts from their vibrant origins at Shangri-La Paradise 36 years ago to their elegant new chapter at the Hakka Museum today. We warmly invite everyone to visit the exhibition, discover the everyday stories of Hakka village life, and appreciate the enduring beauty of Hakka culture.
