For an artifact to make the transition from a personal home into a museum, what must be crossed is not merely physical space, but a profound trust—the willingness to entrust family memories to society for collective sharing.

Today, the Hakka Culture Development Center held the “Hakka Treasures: 2025 Donation Appreciation Ceremony and ‘Following Along’ Donated Artifacts Special Exhibition” to express gratitude to the individuals, families, and groups who donated precious artifacts in 2025. The “Following Along (tenˇ denˋ)” Donated Artifacts Special Exhibition was unveiled at the same time, with the hope that through the exhibition, theater performance, and ceremony, society will come to see the important contributions each donor has made to the preservation of Hakka culture—allowing precious artifacts to transition from family memories into public collections, and ensuring continued transmission of Hakka culture’s historical context and life wisdom.

The event drew a lively crowd filled with many distinguished guests, including local representatives such as Hakka Affairs Council Commissioners Liu Tien-shui, Peng Jui-te, He Yi-lu, Hsu Yung-chuan, and Tien Yung-kuei; Miaoli County Councilor Chen Pin-an; Zaoqiao Township Mayor Hsu Lien-pin; Dahu Township Office Confidential Secretary Chiang Mei-fang; National United University Department of Cultural Tourism Chair Yu Lung-tung; and Section Chief Lin Szu-ling of the Cultural and Tourism Bureau of Miaoli County Government, as well as Year 114 donors Mr. Huang Cho-chuan, Mr. Huang Cho-heng, Mr. Huang Cho-chun, Mr. Huang Shan-kao, Mr. Chang Wei-an, Mr. Sung Wen-hsien, Ms. Tang Wei-chu, Mr. Hung Chin-hai, Mr. Liu Cheng-tien, Mr. Chen Tien-hui, Mr. Hsu Chih-neng, and CMP Group Director Hu Hsin-yi.

Hakka Culture Development Center Director Hsieh Sheng-hsin, in addition to presenting certificates of appreciation to the Year 114 donors, co-created a screen-printed artwork to transform the images of precious artifacts into part of the exhibition, symbolizing the transition of cultural relics from private family treasures to public collections, becoming cultural heritage shared by all. Members of the public are also welcome to visit the “跈等 (tenˇ denˋ)” Donated Artifacts Special Exhibition.

Exhibition Information: From now until early January, 2027 (Monday to Sunday, closed on Tuesdays)
