Cellist Wu Deng-kai, dressed in a Hakka blue shirt, opened the event with elegant sounds of his cello, weaving together a romantic symphony of Taiwanese folk songs and Hakka culture.

Today at the Liudui Hakka Cultural Park, the Hakka Culture Development Center marked a historic moment! We joined hands with the Center for Humanities and Social Sciences of Academia Sinica, the Graduate Institute of History of National Changhua University of Education, and the YunTech Department of Cultural Heritage Conservation to collectively sign an academic cooperation agreement.

This is more than just a certificate. It marks a new cross-institutional, cross-disciplinary alliance dedicated to “Safeguarding Hakka Village Memories”! Going forward, we will integrate spatial information, HGIS analysis, and cultural heritage preservation technology, using technology to protect every inch of Hakka village memory and the warmth of every traditional Hakka compound. Following the signing ceremony, participants conducted a joint field survey of the Jiadong Xiao House, the Yang Family Ancestral Shrine, and the Hsieh Clan Ancestral Shrine, gaining a deep appreciation for the weight of history.

Thank you to all the distinguished guests who came to witness this occasion. Director Hsieh of the Hakka Culture Development Center specially presented a “Hakka Hospitality Tea Set,” symbolizing our shared commitment to coexistence and mutual prosperity.
